The skier's rules
As with all sporting activities, practising the various snow sports involves risks and may entail responsibilities.
1 - Respect for others
Users of the slopes must behave in such a way that they cannot endanger or harm others, either through their behaviour or their equipment.
2 - Control of speed and behaviour
All users of the slopes must adapt their speed and behaviour to their personal abilities and to the general conditions of the terrain and the weather, the state of the snow and the density of the traffic.
3 - Choice of direction by the person ahead
The person ahead is in a position to choose a trajectory, and must therefore make this choice in such a way as to preserve the safety of anyone behind.
4 - Overtaking
You can overtake from upstream or downstream, from the right or from the left; but you must always overtake wide enough to prevent the person you are overtaking from moving.
5 - At slope crossings and departures
After stopping or at a slope crossing, all users must check upstream and downstream to ensure that they can proceed without danger to themselves or others.
6 - Parking
All users must avoid parking in narrow passages or where visibility is poor; if they fall, they must clear the piste as quickly as possible.
7 - Ascending and descending onfoot
Anyone obliged to ascend or descend a piste on foot must use the edge of the piste, taking care to ensure that neither they nor their equipment are a danger to others.
8 - Respect for information, signs and markings
Users must take into account information on weather conditions, piste conditions and snow conditions. They must respect the signs and markings.
9 - Assistance
Anyone who witnesses or takes part in an accident must provide assistance, in particular by sounding the alarm. If necessary, they can make themselves available to rescue workers.
10 - Identification
Anyone who witnesses or takes part in an accident must make their identity known to the emergency services and/or third parties.
ADVICE TO STUDENTS:
Before coming to lessons, students must have their lesson card and lift pass.
Pupils are asked to arrive at the exact starting times of the lessons, suitably equipped and covered.
To change lessons, wait for the instructor's advice.
